Where does uric acid come from?

Uric acid is produced when the body breaks down purines—natural substances found in certain foods and in our body’s cells. Eating purine-rich foods like red meat, organ meats, seafood, beans, and drinking alcohol can raise uric acid levels in the blood.

Normally, about two-thirds of uric acid is removed by the kidneys and one-third by the intestines, helping maintain a healthy balance. 

When the body produces too much uric acid or the kidneys can't remove it properly, levels can build up, leading to joint discomfort and increasing the risk of gout.

How to Use:

1. Collect a urine sample in a clean, dry container.

2. Dip the test strip into the urine for 1–2 seconds.

3. Remove and gently shake off excess liquid.

4. Wait 60 seconds, then compare the color pad to the chart provided.

5. Record your result and consult your healthcare provider if levels are consistently high.

Note: Best used in the morning for the most accurate results. Store in a cool, dry place.
